What is Disney+?
Disney+ is Disney's streaming service spanning Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and (in many regions) Hulu/Star adult content.
How does Disney+ work?
Family plan with up to seven profiles. Kids Profile is a hard-locked junior mode; standard profiles can access TV-MA Hulu and Star content depending on region and bundle.
What parents need to know
- Kids Profile is excellent — but only if your child uses that profile.
- Most families share one adult profile, defeating the safety design.
- Bundled Hulu content includes graphic violence and sexual content.
- Profile PINs are off by default.
Serious risks & safety concerns
Wrong profile = wrong content
If your child has access to an adult profile, the entire Hulu/Star catalog is one tap away — including TV-MA content.
Autoplay across maturity levels
Continue-watching rows can suggest content well outside the child's age band on shared accounts.
Parental controls available
Create a dedicated Kids Profile, set a PIN on adult profiles, and set Content Ratings per profile (Settings → Profile → Content Rating).
How MyParentalControls covers Disney+
MyParentalControls flags when your child switches to an adult Disney+ profile or watches content above their rating.
Bottom line
Great for any age on Kids Profile with PIN-locked adult profiles.
